The Control of Asbestos at Work Regulations were amended on the 24th October 2002. With the exception of regulations 4 and 20 that where given Lead in periods of 18 months and 2 years respectively before they would be enforced.
This lead in period has now passed (21st May 2004) for regulation 4 and therefore you are required by law to hold a register of asbestos containing materials within your premises failure to do so may result in prosecution!
